ASICS



The main focus was creating a landscape of sculptural pieces like in Imi Knoebel’s “Room 19” but where every piece was based on things recognisable to me; elements from playgrounds, skateboard ramps and geometric figures all made in MDF and/or bent masonite board. The choice of material emphasises the shape and size of each piece while the simplicity, uniformity and leathery feel and look of masonite adds a sensation of materiality.
